I never understand its primal pull
The singular urgency that others find
To be alike, or
Typical, and considered normal
But what exactly is it?
For how long
And in whose story?
Is typical admirable and strong
Or is it simply the easiest place to stay?
Keep your head down and blend in.
I have never been able
Nor have I ever sought its complacency.
